Aconex, a global provider of cloud-based collaboration and project management solutions for the construction industry, needed an offline desktop version of its platform so users could work without Internet access and later sync changes to the cloud. The company also needed a way to connect clients’ third-party document management systems to its online platform for smoother document exchange, and turned to EffectiveSoft for help.

EffectiveSoft developed Aconex Local Copy (LC), an easy-to-install desktop copy of the online system with the same look and feel, plus a web-based DMS Connector for integrating systems such as Documentum, Oracle Primavera, and Microsoft SharePoint. The solution enabled offline document access, automatic or manual synchronization with the cloud repository, and online tracking of sync status and logs, helping Aconex streamline document workflows across distributed teams.
