A Education Networks of America Case Study

Indiana University Professors Leverage Video Conferencing Technology to Personalize and Enhance Online Learning

Indiana University used Education Networks of America (ENA) to provide Video Collaboration powered by Zoom for its online optometry/business program. The challenge was to make a largely online course feel more engaging, interactive, and personal for students—many of whom were new to online learning and geographically dispersed.

With ENA’s Zoom-based solution, Indiana University was able to run live weekly discussions, record sessions for later viewing, and have students create and record their own presentations for instructor feedback before presenting to a live panel. The result was a more connected, flipped-classroom experience that helped reduce student disengagement, improve preparation and comprehension, and support deeper learning with less pre-exam confusion and fewer clarification emails.
