How Tennessee’s Greeneville City Schools Is Leveraging Technology to Effectively Personalize Its Learning Environments

Greeneville City Schools, one of Tennessee’s top-performing districts, wanted to move beyond devices and create a true digital learning environment that would personalize instruction and better prepare students for the future. To support that effort, the district partnered with Education Networks of America (ENA), using its managed Internet and VoIP services to underpin a technology strategy focused on teaching and learning rather than technology for technology’s sake.

With Education Networks of America’s reliable infrastructure in place, Greeneville was able to expand its 1:1 laptop program, support device-agnostic learning, and empower teachers and students through personalized professional development and student-led tech teams. The results included stronger student engagement, more differentiated instruction, improved collaboration, and measurable community investment—most notably the Greeneville City Schools Education Foundation’s “Reach for IT” campaign, which raised $750,000 in less than a year to fund student devices.
