The Bartlesville Public Schools and EDULOG Create Greater Busing Efficiency and Equitably Distribute Students with New Boundaries

The Bartlesville Public Schools needed a better way to manage bus routing and later adjust elementary attendance boundaries after closing a school. The district turned to Education Logistics Inc, using EDULOG’s Electronic Pupil Transportation System (ePTS) and boundary consulting services to improve transportation efficiency and support a complex boundary change.

Education Logistics Inc implemented the ePTS software, built and fine-tuned routes, and provided consulting throughout the boundary planning process. The district eliminated more than 100 bus stops, cutting stops by about 20%, which reduced fuel use, driver hours, vehicle wear, and ride times, while the new attendance boundaries were successfully adopted with fewer community disruptions.
