Mount Carmel College, a Catholic K–10 school in Tasmania, needed a better way to manage school communications and forms, especially during emergencies. Using EdSmart, the college was able to send urgent notices even when a power outage took down local authentication servers, thanks to its Office 365 cloud-based tenancy.
EdSmart streamlined day-to-day administration by replacing manual permission slips and enabling teachers and admin staff to send forms and notices directly from school templates. Mount Carmel College reported that 94% of school forms were returned by parents within four hours after six months, and they now average a 95% to 97% response rate within a week, saving staff time and improving communication confidence.
