A Edmentum Case Study
Woodbridge Township School District, a suburban Kâ12 district in Woodbridge, NJ, faced stagnant mathematics achievement and sought ways to boost student performance on state tests across grades 3â8. With flat math scores in 2005, district leaders adopted curriculum changes and looked for a technology-based solution to better prepare students for assessments.
The district implemented Study Island across all elementary and middle schools (later expanding to high school special education), using it for whole-group, individualized, and before/after-school intervention with real-time reporting to target learning gaps. As a result, student engagement and confidence rose, the percentage meeting or exceeding standards on state assessments improved in math and reading, and the district has consistently met Adequate Yearly Progress, including gains among regular education, LEP, and special education students.
