Tracking Growth and Addressing Individual Needs in Lone Jack

Lone Jack Elementary School, a small rural district outside Kansas City serving about 350 PK–6 students, needed a way to move beyond three-times-a-year screening tests and deliver continuous, individualized support. Having already partnered with Edmentum for high school online courses, district leaders chose Edmentum Exact Path to better identify student skill levels and provide targeted instruction across the elementary grades.

They piloted Exact Path with 1st grade in fall 2017, then expanded to grades 1–5, using adaptive diagnostics to create individualized learning paths and scheduling 20–30 minute sessions several days a week within existing classroom routines. With consultant support, teachers use Exact Path for targeted intervention and enrichment; after one full year the school reports improved growth tracking, stronger ability to address individual student needs, and plans to deepen implementation.
