A Edmentum Case Study
Northwestern Consolidated School District, a rural Indiana district serving about 1,500 K–12 students, faced stagnant growth and underperformance (district C-grade, one school at D). Leadership launched a 1:1 device vision but needed the right digital content and reporting to personalize instruction and raise achievement across all schools.
The district issued iPads to elementary students and Chromebooks to older students and partnered with Edmentum (Plato Courseware, Study Island, Reading Eggs, EdOptions Academy) to enable blended learning, individualized plans, and approved eLearning days. Within two years all three schools and the district earned A grades, ELA proficiency rose to 83.3% (nearly +7 points), math to 90.2% (nearly +8 points), and schools received state and national recognitions.
