A Edmentum Case Study
Abraham Clark High School (ACHS) in Roselle, NJ, serves about 750 students—67% African American, 29% Hispanic, and 75% economically disadvantaged—and faced rising chronic absenteeism and slipping graduation rates that landed it on New Jersey’s Priority School watchlist. Leadership needed a way to re-engage students, prevent credit loss, and improve postsecondary outcomes.
ACHS adopted a blended-learning strategy using Edmentum Courseware and other products, running after-school credit-recovery labs staffed by teachers, expanding interventions to 10th grade, integrating CTE coursework, and using data-driven monitoring plus increased counseling and attendance policy changes. The effort raised graduation rates by 22% to over 90%, removed the school from the state watchlist, boosted enrollment, and helped graduates move on to colleges and military academies.
