Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) required a way for its Film/Video students to collaborate on high-resolution video projects beyond the limitations of individual hard drives. The college's challenge grew more acute when the COVID-19 pandemic forced a shift to remote learning, making its on-premise EditShare shared storage system inaccessible to students off-campus.

EditShare implemented its FLOW and AirFLOW media management solutions to create a hybrid workflow. This allowed students to upload content to the local EditShare server and then access, edit, and collaborate on those files remotely from any location. The solution provided students with the immense storage needed for 4K and 6K projects and made remote, collaborative editing seamless. As a result, EditShare ensured educational continuity during the pandemic and established a new, permanent standard for providing a world-class film education to students both locally and globally.
