Australia’s 3P Studio Takes on The Industry Establishment with EditShare

3P Studio, a boutique post-production house in Australia founded by Haley McDonald, faced significant challenges with an inefficient and unmanageable hard drive-based storage system as their business grew. This legacy system created workflow bottlenecks, preventing simultaneous collaboration on projects and hindering their ability to meet tight deadlines for clients like Subway and the Australian government. To support their creative workstreams and expand their service offerings, they turned to vendor EditShare for a modern shared storage solution.

EditShare implemented an EFS scale-out storage node, which centralized 3P Studio's media and enabled seamless real-time collaboration across their 10 workstations. The solution was later upgraded and expanded with EditShare's FLOW and AirFLOW applications to manage media and facilitate remote workflows. This allowed 3P Studio to triple its staff between 2017 and 2021, offer a new "content warehouse" service for clients, and maintain operations during pandemic restrictions, ultimately delivering a superior client experience with faster turnarounds and higher quality projects.
