The customer, Michael Nugent Ltd, a mechanical and electrical services provider, required a power solution for the Grand Central Hotel in Belfast to ensure a secure and reliable electricity supply for the new luxury development. The challenge involved powering the 22-story building and mitigating the operational and financial risks associated with power failures.

Edina delivered a solution by supplying and installing a 400kVA containerised diesel genset on the hotel's roof, a complex project that required the unit to be disassembled, craned into position, and reassembled. Commissioned by Edina, this standby generator ensures maximum reliability, provides emergency power during grid outages, and maintains the hotel's operational security.
