A Edina Case Study
The Medway NHS Foundation Trust, which operates Kent's largest and busiest hospital, required a new emergency standby power generation system to ensure mission critical power security for its facility. To meet this challenge, the trust selected vendor Edina to deliver a full turnkey design and installation solution.
Edina implemented a two-phase installation, replacing outdated equipment with five new 1250kVA Cummins diesel generator sets and associated controls while the hospital remained fully operational. The project was successfully completed and handed over in December 2011 at a cost of £1.87 million, providing the hospital with a highly reliable and powerful standby generation system to protect its critical services.
