Edina delivers 20MWe balancing power station for Conrad Energy

The customer, Conrad Energy, required a solution to help balance the UK electricity grid and support the integration of renewable technologies. They engaged the vendor, Edina, to supply a flexible generation power plant to meet this challenge.

Edina designed, supplied, and commissioned a 20MWe plant for Conrad Energy, utilizing 10 containerized MWM gas engines. The project was completed on time and within budget. This solution provides fast-responding, dispatchable power, ensuring grid stability during periods of high demand or low renewable output. The plant produces enough electricity to power nearly 11,000 local homes when needed.
