Edina CHP powers Ireland’s leading AD Plant Granville Ecopark

Granville Ecopark, the largest anaerobic digestion facility in Ireland, required a significant expansion of its on-site power generation to support its growth. The company contracted vendor Edina to supply and install a new combined heat and power (CHP) solution to meet this strategic need.

Edina implemented a full turnkey solution, supplying eight containerized MWM gas engines with a total output of 5.78MWe. This allowed Granville to efficiently use excess biogas to produce renewable electricity and biomethane. The project's success was recognized with industry awards, and it enables the production of over 26 million m³ of biogas annually, diverting waste from landfill and significantly reducing carbon emissions for its customers.
