Cranfield University reduce energy costs and emissions through Edina CHP

Cranfield University, a UK-based institution, had a challenge to significantly reduce its carbon emissions and annual energy costs as part of its Carbon Management Plan. The university partnered with vendor Edina to implement a turnkey combined heat and power (CHP) solution to address this need.

Edina installed an MWM TCG 2020 engine, designing and constructing the entire CHP plant to complement the university's existing infrastructure. The solution successfully generates 12% of the site's power needs and reduced carbon emissions by 10%. The project also substantially lowered the university's annual operating costs and provided a resource for its educational courses.
