Multinational e-Commerce Company deploys 400G SONiC with Edgecore Networks

The customer, a multinational e-commerce company, faced the challenge of establishing supply chain diversity and avoiding reliance on a single supplier for its network. Their requirements included an IP Clos architecture with VxLAN and EVPN, DCI with ZR/ZR+ optics, and an open hardware and NOS model. They partnered with vendor Edgecore Networks to address this.

Edgecore Networks implemented a solution using their 400G switch with ZR/ZR+ support, SONiC software, and qualification services for 400G optics. This open networking approach provided the customer with the desired flexibility and greater control over developing enhanced network services, allowing them to pay only for the features they needed.
