Mid-Taiwan Quadruple Player Service Providing Company, the region’s largest quadruple‑play operator offering fiber broadband, 4G and cable TV, faced rapidly rising video‑on‑demand and high‑speed Internet demand that required last‑mile upgrades and new power‑feeding for in‑home PoE devices. Edgecore Networks was chosen to meet compact deployment constraints and to enable coexistence with the provider’s existing infrastructure while migrating subscribers from 100M to 1000M speeds.

Edgecore Networks deployed its ECS4510-12PD and ECS4000-05P PoE switches (with ECS4510-28F aggregation) featuring special power‑management, L2 remote management, 48V DC input and PD/PSE flexibility. More than thousands of units are being rolled out to enable FTTB/FTTH, provide extra wireless services to off‑load 4G, and expand capacity — delivering a reported tenfold increase in bandwidth and supporting large‑scale subscriber upgrades from 100M to 1,000M.
