MicroAds uses Cumulus Linux and Edgecore Open Networking Switches

MicroAd, a leading Japanese digital advertising platform operating services such as MicroAd Blade (DSP) and MicroAd Compass (SSP), faced rapidly growing real‑time traffic demands that made their network performance, redundancy and manageability increasingly complex. To address scaling and operational challenges, MicroAd chose Edgecore Networks bare‑metal open networking switches and Cumulus Linux as the network OS.

Edgecore Networks deployed ten AS5712‑54X switches (2 spine, 8 leaf) running Cumulus Linux via ONIE to build a 10G/40G leaf‑and‑spine topology, improving network efficiency, scalability and failsafe monitoring. The Edgecore solution simplified operations, reduced CapEx by using bare‑metal hardware and lowered OpEx through flexible hardware and maintenance options, while delivering measurable infrastructure consolidation with the 10‑unit deployment.
