ITM University Gurgaon, serving nearly 3,000 students, needed a resilient, high‑performance campus network to deliver online study material, rich‑media learning and 24x7 availability with minimal downtime and lower maintenance overhead. To achieve centralized management and support web conferencing, virtualization and growing access-device needs, the university engaged Edgecore Networks and selected its managed switching solutions (ECS4610-26T, ECS4610-24F, ECS4110-52T and ECS2000-10P).

Edgecore Networks deployed a redundant core (dual L3 ECS4610 switches in VRRP), a 1 Gbps L2/L3 backbone, firewalling and security measures (VLANs, ACLs, broadcast storm control, anti‑DDoS), plus WebSmart access switches to provide non‑blocking connectivity. The solution increased inter‑building bandwidth from 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps, reduced service calls and outages from weekly to near zero, lowered hardware costs through virtualization, and delivered measurable cost savings while enabling seamless rollout of video, on‑demand learning and cloud services and greatly improving availability and user experience.
