Edgecore Networks L3/L2 Deployed CCTV Surveillance System to Hotel with High Performance Network Connectivity

ORBI GROUP, one of Georgia’s largest construction and development companies, built the ORBI Twin Towers hotel complex (4,500 rooms) and deployed 791 IP cameras for building surveillance. Faced with the need for seamless, high-performance video transport and strong security, ORBI GROUP selected Edgecore Networks to provide L3/L2 networking and CCTV connectivity, using Edgecore’s ECS4620 series Layer 3 switches.

Edgecore Networks implemented PoE switches across 47 floors with fiber links to a main server room and deployed three Edgecore Layer 3 switches (ECS4620-28F x2, ECS4620-28T x1) in redundant VRRP, connected via 10G SFP+ on a non-blocking 10G backbone, with four VLANs for camera segmentation and a firewall delivering up to 1G wire-speed traffic. The Edgecore solution delivered continuous availability, advanced QoS for reliable video streaming, enhanced security controls, and scalable bandwidth — enabling stable, secure surveillance for all 791 cameras and simplified network management across the hotel.
