Case Study: FATIH achieves 11ac Wi‑Fi coverage in 4,000 Turkish schools with Edgecore Networks' controller‑based solution

A Edgecore Networks Case Study

Preview of the FATIH Case Study

Edgecore and partner NETAS deploy large scale wireless network in 4,000 schools across Turkey

FATIH, Turkey’s national “Movement to Increase Opportunities and Technology” education program, needed a stable, manageable and affordable wireless network to upgrade classrooms to 11ac Wi‑Fi across thousands of schools. Edgecore Networks was selected to meet this challenge, providing a controller‑based solution including ECW7220‑L 11ac indoor access points, EWS4502 local controllers, centralized EWS4606 controllers and ECView Pro network management to support large‑scale, centrally managed campus Wi‑Fi.

Edgecore Networks deployed a two‑layer redundant architecture with one EWS4502 per school, centralized EWS4606 backups at the Ministry of Education, and ECView Pro for NMS, enabling auto‑provisioning and centralized monitoring. The rollout covers 4,000 schools and 92,000 ECW7220‑L access points (with 4,024 wireless controllers and ECView Pro servers), delivering 11ac performance, high availability that avoids single points of failure, simplified mass deployment and easier remote troubleshooting for school IT staff.
