Baga Beach in Goa, India—a busy tourist destination where visitors regularly upload large photos and videos—needed a scalable, high-quality outdoor Wi‑Fi solution to overcome slow 2G data speeds and avoid congestion. Edgecore Networks, via partner UTL, was chosen to provide a controller-based outdoor wireless system using ECWOS5110-L outdoor access points, ECS4210-12P Layer 2 GE PoE switches and the EWS4502 wireless controller.

Edgecore Networks deployed 26 ECWOS5110-L APs spanning a 1,450‑meter range, linked to eight ECS4210-12P PoE switches and centrally managed by an EWS4502 controller with auto-provisioning, load balancing and redundancy. The rollout delivered seamless, fault-tolerant coverage for thousands of visitors, improved bandwidth and traffic distribution, and established a measurable footprint (26 APs, 8 switches, controller management with up to 500 AP capacity) for straightforward future expansion.
