Ambassador Hotel Project in Taiwan Edge-Core Hospitality Solution Successfully Deployed in a Five Star Hotel

Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu, a five‑star property with 287 guest rooms serving business travelers near Hsinchu Science Park, faced severe Wi‑Fi congestion and slow internet (previously 54 Mbps) as guest and public usage grew. To modernize network performance and capacity the hotel engaged Edgecore Networks and selected an Edgecore hospitality solution including 802.11n wireless access points and managed switching.

Edgecore Networks deployed a stacked ECS4610 core switch, 20 x ECS4810-28TS floor switches, 6 x SMCE21011 enterprise APs for meeting/public areas and 187 x SMCWBR14‑N5 guest‑room APs. The upgrade raised wireless throughput from 54 Mbps to up to 300 Mbps, expanded coverage and client capacity, and improved privacy and security through managed switches and enterprise AP features, delivering fast, reliable internet across rooms and public spaces.
