Promenade Mall, a large retail property in North America, was spending over $4 million annually on electricity and was unaware of programs that could reduce these significant costs. They were paying approximately $2.5 million per year in global adjustment fees alone. Edgecom Energy was engaged to provide specialized energy management services to address this challenge.
Edgecom Energy implemented several solutions, including its PTRACK® service, to help the mall transition to a lower-cost energy classification and participate in demand response programs. This approach generated $476,000 in savings in the first year, followed by an additional $359,000 the next year, plus $109,000 in new revenue from demand response and a separate pilot program. In total, Edgecom Energy helped Promenade Mall achieve $944,000 in savings and earnings while providing them with a better understanding of the energy market.
