Skill Struck, an education technology startup with a fully remote team spread across 13 states, needed a better way to manage payroll, onboarding, and employee records as it grew. HR and Operations Specialist Chris Ruddy was handling payroll for more than 30 employees on his own, and his previous system was inflexible, time-consuming, and cluttered. Eddy provided the payroll and HR platform he needed, including onboarding, time tracking, e-signatures, training tracking, and employee profiles.

With Eddy, Skill Struck streamlined payroll by bringing time, PTO, holidays, benefits, and deductions into one system, cutting Chris’s payroll work from about five hours a week and enabling a new assistant to take over payroll prep. Eddy also improved remote onboarding with customized packets and easy e-signatures, while training tracking helped keep FERPA certifications current with automatic expiration alerts. Chris said Eddy saved him time, improved organization, and created a better employee experience.
