Warner Music Group needed a centralized system to track post‑signature artist agreements — spanning royalties, rights, touring and merchandising — and to accommodate expanded “360” deals. To manage these needs for some 260 artist agreements, WMG selected Ecteon’s Contraxx contract management solution.
Ecteon implemented Contraxx with the Soap Client and an outline data entry interface, integrating Contraxx with WMG’s artist system so agreements originate in Contraxx and feed unique artist IDs downstream. The solution delivers comprehensive rights tracking and reporting across recording and 360 agreements, helps Business Affairs determine exploitable rights, speeds research on royalties and expedites digital clearances, and continues to provide detailed tracking and reporting for Warner Music Group.
