2 J's Fresh Market is a single-location natural and organic grocery in Great Falls, Montana that needed better retail automation to speed checkout, improve inventory accuracy, and streamline supplier communications. The owner, Dylan Pedersen, has relied on ECRS’ CATAPULT point-of-sale and back-office system for more than a decade and recently adopted ECRS’ Supplier Gateway to address ordering and supply-chain inefficiencies with main supplier UNFI.

ECRS implemented CATAPULT with OrderAssist ordering, handheld scanners, Freedom Panel POS terminals and Supplier Gateway to electronically transmit orders and invoices to UNFI. The result: faster, more accurate transactions, easier staff training, automated order suggestions that let the store carry less overall inventory while keeping top sellers stocked, and elimination of out-of-stock issues; Pedersen estimates about two hours saved per large order and the store has continued to grow (roughly 5% in recent years), with ECRS support and reporting helping monitor performance.
