High Point Regional Medical System opened a new hospital pharmacy and needed a reliable, easy-to-use point-of-sale solution to manage prescription and OTC transactions, comply with flexible spending account rules, and produce actionable reporting to help control costs. ECRS delivered a touchscreen POS that scans Rx and OTC items, tracks inventory, and generates detailed reports and graphics for cost analysis, with fast vendor support for troubleshooting. As a result, High Point Regional Medical System grew daily prescription fills from about 30 to as many as 99, now fills roughly 25% of employee prescriptions, and uses ECRS reporting to better monitor sales and reduce costs.
