Apthorp Pharmacy, a pharmacy on Manhattan's Upper West Side, needed to streamline its store processes and achieve IIAS compliance to better serve its busy retail operation. The pharmacy partnered with vendor ECRS to implement its CATAPULT system to automate front-to-back operations and integrate with its existing suppliers and pharmacy software.

ECRS implemented its CATAPULT point-of-sale system and developed ECRS Gateway adapters to create bi-directional integration with Apthorp's suppliers and its accounts receivable management partner. This automation resulted in significant time savings through automatic reordering, efficiently maintained stock levels, and a 99% scan rate. The solution provided full IIAS compliance and freed staff to spend more time with customers.
