Eataly, the large Italian specialty-food marketplace with six U.S. locations and 315 total checkout lanes, was expanding rapidly and needed a retail partner that could handle ultra-high-volume sales while preserving its reputation for quality. Concerned their previous system could not support growth, Eataly engaged ECRS and selected the CATAPULT® POS solution to meet the demands of new flagship sites such as the Downtown NYC location and the 3rd-floor 4 World Trade Center store.
ECRS delivered CATAPULT along with consulting, project management, implementation, and ongoing support—deploying 20 CATAPULT lanes at the 4 WTC opening and rolling the system into other major locations. The result was a smooth rollout, strong cashier adoption and ease-of-use, remarkably few issues during launch, and transparent support from ECRS, enabling Eataly to sustain its rapid expansion and high-volume operations.
