Postcard Services, a Florida-based direct mail marketing company, needed higher-fidelity output from its Online Postcard Designer. Their Flash-based designer produced XML that had been converted to JPEGs via PHP for printing, which degraded small-font legibility and overall print quality. To solve this, Postcard Services selected Ecrion’s XF Rendering Server to handle rendering and PDF generation.

Ecrion converted the XML output to high-quality PDFs (leveraging SVG/vector support and paragraph handling), preserving fonts and detail for digital presses and enabling true offset-like results. The Ecrion XF Rendering Server fixed the small-font and quality issues, scaled to render thousands of print pieces reliably, and helped Postcard Services win new development opportunities with other printers.
