Lindt & Sprüngli, a Switzerland-based food and beverage company, sought to build resilience and simplify its procurement process. Their challenges included a need to better prioritize suppliers based on spend, gather all sustainability data into a single location, and comply with increasing due diligence regulations. To address this, they turned to the EcoVadis sustainability ratings service.

By integrating EcoVadis with the Sievo platform, Lindt & Sprüngli created a centralized data lake, linking sustainability performance with spend data to inform sourcing decisions. The solution provided by EcoVadis delivered significant results, including an average supplier score of 60.9 and the reassessment of 82% of its rated suppliers, 69% of which showed improvement. This integration offered invaluable insights for risk validation and helped buyers effectively engage with suppliers on sustainability.
