Case Study: Harvard University achieves integrated capital planning and better project visibility with EcoSys Management

A EcoSys Management Case Study

Preview of the Harvard University Case Study

Capital Planning at Harvard University

Harvard University, with more than 25 million square feet across 650+ buildings, needed to replace labor-intensive spreadsheet-based capital planning with a single, integrated process that could handle nearly 1,000 projects and support daily updates. Working with EcoSys Management’s EcoSys EPC platform, Harvard sought a configurable enterprise tool for consolidating capital plan data, improving reporting, and aligning projects with academic, strategic, and financial priorities.

EcoSys Management implemented EcoSys EPC to standardize project information, enable web-based role access, and integrate bi-directionally with Harvard’s project approval system, actual expenditures, and data warehouse. The result was less manual data entry, stronger data integrity and governance, and real-time visibility into project performance; Harvard also expanded use of EcoSys EPC into cost controls and is considering it for contract management.
