National Express, a leading international public transport operator, wanted to improve its CDP Climate Change disclosure score, which stood at 59 in 2013 and placed it in band D. To support its 2014 environmental strategy, the company worked with EcoOnline, using Ecometrica sustainability software alongside consulting and reporting support to strengthen its sustainability and ESG disclosures.

EcoOnline helped National Express prepare and audit its CDP submission, leading to a 26-point score improvement in a single year, from 59 to 85, and a rise to band B in CDP’s 2014 UK Corporate Environmental Report. National Express also became the highest-ranked public transport company in the UK, while continuing efforts to reduce carbon emissions, manage waste, and conserve water.
