Econolite Systems Completes a Turnkey ATMS Upgrade for the City of Lacey

The City of Lacey needed a turnkey upgrade of its aging traffic control system to a modern, fully integrated ATMS. In 2013 Econolite Systems was awarded the project to deliver Centracs® ATMS software, ASC/3 rack-mount controllers in new 333D cabinets, and an upgraded IP communications network to provide a complete, capable, contemporary signal system solution.

Econolite implemented the solution by installing and integrating Centracs with Local Edition, Synchro Interface, Enhanced MOE, and Advanced CCTV modules; supplying 34 Model 333D cabinet/ASC3 controller packages (each with TSP data keys and wiring for future Transit GPS); migrating TMP390 settings for 32 intersections; developing system graphics; and deploying a secure communications network using ISP drops, Ethernet-over-Copper VDSL, Cisco VPN, Moxa routers and RuggedCom switches. The result: a fully centralized ATMS covering 32 intersections with Advanced CCTV for up to 20 PTZ cameras and 5 workstations, transit-priority capability, and a 1‑year warranty plus software maintenance—delivering measurable, citywide signal modernization by Econolite.
