A Econolite Case Study

Preview of the Denver Metropolitan Area Case Study

Denver Metropolitan Area - Customer Case Study

The Denver Metropolitan Area faced rapid population and commuting growth at its southern edge, prompting the cities of Littleton and Englewood and Arapahoe County to upgrade their traffic management and ITS capabilities. To enable cooperative regional management and center-to-center communications, the agencies turned to Econolite and its Centracs® ATMS to address congestion and improve intercity coordination.

Econolite implemented Centracs ATMS across Greenwood Village, Centennial, Littleton, Englewood, and Arapahoe County, using the Centracs Server-to-Server module to enable seamless data sharing and cross-jurisdiction arterial management. The deployment made Centracs the ATMS of choice for five south Denver agencies, improved transportation network performance and inter-agency collaboration, and extended a nearly 20-year relationship between the agencies and Econolite.
