Accor Hotels, including Pullman Riga Old Town Hotel, Ibis Riga Centre Hotel, and Mercure Riga Centre in Riga, Latvia, was facing costly hotel industry issues such as no-shows, chargebacks, and guests’ varying payment preferences. ECOMMPAY, an international payment provider, was brought in to help address these challenges with a simpler way to collect payments.
ECOMMPAY implemented a payment link solution that could be sent by email or messenger, letting guests complete one-time, customer-specific payments securely with 3DS authentication. The result was fewer no-shows and a significant reduction in chargeback risk, helping Accor Hotels avoid losses like the EUR 7,000 hit they had previously experienced on a single day.
