National Express sees a 26-point CDP score improvement in a single year - fuelled by Ecometrica sustainability software

National Express Group plc is a leading international public transport operator with a fleet of over 25,000 vehicles. Facing a CDP Climate Change disclosure score of 59 (band D) in 2013, National Express engaged Ecometrica to help improve its sustainability reporting and performance using Ecometrica’s sustainability software, reporting modules and consulting support.

Ecometrica prepared and audited the 2014 CDP submission and supported National Express with sustainability software reporting (including Business Intelligence, Business Travel, Waste, Energy and Water modules) and consulting. As a result, National Express’s CDP score rose to 85 (band B) — a 26-point, two-band improvement in one year — making it the highest ranked UK public transport company on CDP’s 2014 report, alongside additional operational gains in carbon, waste and water management.
