Ecometrica and Gaia Carbon Management combine to help Petkim complete their first CDP disclosure with Ecometrica Platform

Petkim Petrokimya Holding A.Ş., Turkey’s largest petrochemical complex, faced the challenge of measuring and managing its greenhouse gas emissions, responding to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for the first time and preparing a full sustainability report. To meet these goals and address the energy‑intensive nature of its operations, Petkim engaged Ecometrica and deployed the Our Impacts carbon accounting service in partnership with Gaia Carbon Management.

Ecometrica implemented the Our Impacts platform to measure, calculate and report Petkim’s 2009 GHG emissions, supporting data collection and analysis alongside Gaia. The work identified energy‑efficiency and renewable opportunities that led to a planned 25 MW wind power plant (commissioned 2011), 43 small‑scale energy projects (23 underway), and initiatives projected to save about 90,000 tCO2e per year, helping Petkim launch a formal climate change management plan.
