Aggreko respond to UK mandatory carbon reporting with audit ready environmental outputs from Ecometrica

Aggreko Plc, a global leader in temporary power generation with over 5,700 employees and operations across 194 locations, needed to strengthen its greenhouse gas (GHG) monitoring and reporting ahead of the UK’s Mandatory Carbon Reporting (MCR) requirements. Aggreko engaged Ecometrica to provide an auditable, corporate-wide environmental accounting solution using the Ecometrica Sustainability platform.

Ecometrica integrated the Sustainability platform with Aggreko’s internal business intelligence systems to automate emissions calculation for a global fleet of over 15,000 generators, chillers and mobile assets and to capture data from more than 220 sites across Scope 1, 2 and 3 (including upstream fuel supply chains and transmission/distribution losses). Ecometrica’s implementation produced two years’ worth of global GHG accounts within six months and enabled Aggreko to report emissions in its annual report one year ahead of mandatory obligations.
