How Mulberry is driving deeper employee engagement around its net-zero journey

Mulberry, a UK-based luxury fashion brand, was on a journey to achieve net-zero emissions by 2035. While already balancing its operational footprint, the challenge was to move beyond mitigation and make this ambitious sustainability goal a tangible part of daily life for every employee, fostering a culture of deep engagement and ownership. To address this, Mulberry partnered with Ecologi.

Ecologi's solution integrated climate action into key employee touchpoints. This included planting a tree for every new hire, offsetting quarterly business flight emissions, and funding reforestation for company milestones. These actions served as communication tools to educate the workforce. The partnership has funded 1,300 trees and avoided 568 tonnes of CO2e. Ecologi helped transform sustainability from a corporate target into an engaged company-wide effort, with candidates now routinely citing sustainability as a reason for wanting to join the brand.
