Vincennes VanGo needed to move off paper scheduling to an automated system with same-day trip capability, faster real-time reporting, and greater operational efficiency—especially to improve demand-response service for riders with mobility restrictions. The agency selected Ecolane and its DRT scheduling/dispatch platform along with Ecolane Touch Screen MDTs to provide turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle tracking, mileage calculators, and same-day booking in a real-time environment.

Ecolane implemented automated scheduling and dispatch with real-time optimization and Android-based MDTs, enabling riders to schedule, modify, and cancel same-day trips and allowing staff to book more riders and pick them up faster with fewer vehicles. As a result, Vincennes VanGo reduced revenue mileage by 20,000 miles in six months, cut vehicle wear-and-tear, and saw nearly $800 in increased fares in the most recent month, delivering measurable cost and service improvements under Ecolane.
