rabbittransit, based in York, PA, operates ADA-accessible paratransit, fixed-route and commuter services across ten counties with a fleet of 237 vehicles and about 2,700 trips per weekday. Facing long-distance rural trips, longer wait and ride times, and fragmented procedures across counties, rabbittransit needed a single, uniform platform to improve consistency, efficiency and profitability — and engaged Ecolane (including Ecolane DRT scheduling & dispatch, Touch Screen MDTs on Android, Web Self Service, advanced reporting and IVR).

Ecolane implemented its DRT scheduling/dispatch system, MDT navigation, web self-scheduling, reporting tools and a PennDOT-customized group-trip module to streamline operations and improve visibility. As a result, rabbittransit consistently met a 2.5 RPH goal, increased on-time performance by 16% (from 82% to ≥95%), saved over $1 million in operational expenses, expanded from a two-county to a ten-county system, and achieved high customer satisfaction (82% positive view; 94% would recommend) — all delivered on time and on budget by Ecolane.
