A Ecolane Case Study
Morris Area Paratransit System (MAPS) in Morris County, NJ was operating from paper manifests and needed an easy-to-use system to streamline internal operations, map distinct urban and rural service areas, and break out different funding sources. To address these challenges they engaged Ecolane and adopted Ecolane DRT for automated scheduling and dispatching, the Ecolane Reporting System with ADHOC reporting, and Ecolane Touch Screen MDT software running on Android tablets.
Ecolane implemented end-to-end solutions—automated scheduling/dispatch, turn-by-turn navigation on vehicle tablets, and advanced reporting—which enabled MAPS to do more miles and report rural mileage more accurately. The results include an increase in rides per hour (RPH) from 1.5 to 2.29, about 250 trips per day pre-COVID‑19, and an average of 5,000 trips per month, demonstrating measurable operational and reporting improvements delivered by Ecolane.
