MET Transit in Waterloo, Iowa faced aging paratransit software, limited vendor support, and the need to operate more efficiently while improving passenger service. To address these challenges they engaged Ecolane and its DRT scheduling and dispatching software.

Ecolane implemented its DRT platform along with Ecolane Touch Screen MDTs (Android tablets with turn-by-turn navigation) and the Advanced Ecolane Reporting System plus Ad-hoc Reporting Tool, delivering web‑based, automated scheduling, continuous optimization and comprehensive reporting. As a result, MET Transit’s rides per hour rose from 2.5–2.7 before Ecolane to 3.2–3.4, surpassing their 3.0 goal and improving overall operational efficiency and customer service.
