Link Transit, which serves 17 communities in Chelan and Douglas Counties, needed to replace outdated paratransit scheduling software and unsupported mobile data terminals with a solution that provided real-time scheduling, GPS, and mobile data communications. They selected Ecolane and its hosted DRT Scheduling and Dispatching software along with the Advanced Reporting system, Self Service Web Booking Portal, and Ecolane Touch Screen MDT software for Android tablets.

Ecolane deployed its hosted DRT scheduling, dispatch, reporting and tablet MDT solution on time and on budget, enabling same-day dispatching, live optimization and vehicle tracking. As a result Link Transit averages 179 one-way trips per weekday with 16 vehicles, 2.84 RPH and 97% on-time performance; 18% of trips are same-day with 71% picked up within 30 minutes (82% within one hour), plus 2–3× more compliments than complaints and reduced back-office processing that freed staff resources.
