A Ecolane Case Study
GoBus, administered by the East Texas Council on Governments (ETCOG) in Kilgore, TX, faced operational strain from legacy software that left dispatching and scheduling manual, required drivers to create routes, and made reconciliation across 15–17 pull-out locations difficult. The old vendor would not train new staff, and On Time Performance (OTP) data was unavailable despite vehicle tablets. To address these issues GoBus selected Ecolane and its Ecolane DRT software.
Ecolane implemented its web-based DRT solution virtually, providing extensive online training during the COVID-19 pandemic and enabling automated dispatching, rapid database reconciliation, and instant KPI visibility. As a result, GoBus increased rides per hour to 2.03 (up from 1.6), achieved OTP of 94% or better with many days at 100%, and sustained pre-COVID volumes of 500–700 trips while freeing staff to focus on customer satisfaction—outcomes directly attributed to Ecolane’s solution.
