Generations Unlimited of Barnwell, SC needed to improve customer service, gain automatic software updates, boost operational efficiency through real-time continuous optimization, and add sophisticated ad-hoc reporting plus rider-facing self-service and mobile booking. To address these needs they engaged Ecolane and adopted Ecolane’s DRT scheduling and dispatching software with real-time continuous optimization and Touch Screen MDT capabilities.

Ecolane implemented its full solution—continuous-optimization DRT scheduling/dispatch, MDT features (electronic signature, pre/post-trip inspection), GTFS integration, advanced reporting with ad-hoc tools, an online self-service portal, Ecolane Mobile, Alexa booking, SMS/IVR notifications and rider feedback—resulting in measurable gains: on-time performance rose from 77% to 92% (a 19% increase), rides per hour climbed from 1.68 to 2.05 (22% increase), advance booking requirements dropped from three days to under 24 hours (often same-day), and staff workload eased (the scheduler took a week off shortly after implementation).
