Scentbird cuts waste with EcoEnclose circular mailers, saving 281 tons of plastic

Scentbird, a fragrance subscription service, faced the challenge of its non-recyclable black matte bubble mailers, which were manufactured overseas. They partnered with packaging vendor EcoEnclose to find a solution that balanced sustainability, supply chain resiliency, and financial feasibility.

EcoEnclose provided a circular solution by transitioning Scentbird to domestic, recycled-content bubble mailers that are recyclable. This shift, along with sustainable updates to other packaging components, resulted in significant annual environmental savings. For their 4.5 million mailers, EcoEnclose helped Scentbird save hundreds of gallons of oil, avoid over 150,000 lbs of carbon emissions, keep 281 tons of plastic from landfills, and give 112,500 lbs of post-consumer plastic a second life.
